One of the things that is high on our list for when we get back to our Canadian digs is a rug for the living room. As you can see from our house tour here we’ve currently got bare hardwood floors. The floors are lovely, but the room would just feel so much more pulled together and cozy with a nice big rug. With our total-gut basement renovations last summer (which you can check out here!), there just wasn’t any extra wiggle room in the budget to squeeze in a rug (though I tried really hard to justify it at the time!). However, this has given me time to really think about what would look best and shop around for a good deal. I haven’t decided on anything yet, but I’m totally smitten with geometric patterned rugs. I love the liveliness they bring to a room and the symmetry of the pattern. Check out the geometric lovelies in these rooms:
And now here are some of the rugs I’ve come across while browsing the online shops. I kinda love all of them. That’s a problem, isn’t it?!
What do you guys think? Are you a fan of geometric rugs or do you prefer a different style? Got any good suggestions or links to other budget-friendly ones out there? Do share.
