Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending ‘BlogPodium‘ in Toronto – a 1-day conference for design bloggers. I have been fortunate enough to attend two previous BlogPodium events, and like both of those, this one definitely did not disappoint. It was a fabulous opportunity to network with other bloggers and brands, be inspired by keynote speakers like Sarah Richardson (holla!), learn practical tips in the small workshops, and soak in all the ‘pretty’ (these events are always decorated beautifully!). It was really a super day from start to finish. Little miss Maya stayed behind with her Daddio, giving me the full day to myself!

Oh and I must’ve been wearing my lucky socks or something that day, because I won a couple of prizes! A closet organization system from the Home Depot, and a gift bag full of goodies from DeSerres. Winning the Home Depot contest was pretty hilarious – everyone was given a key and you had to go and see if your key would open the door. I clearly don’t win prizes very often, because when my key opened the door, I turned around and made this face… you’d think I had won the lottery! I didn’t even know what the prize was at that point…!
This bad boy is going to be sa-weeeet for one of our closets. Come to mama. Thank you, Home Depot!
As I have found in past years, meeting and connecting with other bloggers is a major highlight. People who you have met online in this little community of ours, that you can actually chat with in person. It’s like becoming real friends, you know?

Oh, and we were given two tickets to the Toronto Fall Home Show happening on October 3-6 in our conference bag. Does anybody want them? I won’t be able to make it, so I would be happy to give them to someone who would like to go! Let me know in the comments section or via email (email@example.com).
In other favourite links from the week…
These DIY “monster plants” totally make me giggle. I definitely need to make these one year..
Have you read this book? I have been hearing a lot about it for a while now and want to pick it up.
The puppet theatre that Alison made over her on blog is pretty incredible. And most of it is using duct tape? Clever lady.
What do you guys have planned for this weekend? Anything good? The weather here has been perfect – beautiful sunny fall days with the leaves turning red and orange. I looove fall. We’ve got a couple of fun events happening this weekend with family and friends, and hopefully some nice long walks to enjoy these beautiful days too. Have fun!
