So if you ever knock on my door around dinnertime (or afterwards), there is a 99% chance I will answer the door in my pyjamas. I basically come through the door at the end of the work day, go to our bedroom, and throw on my PJ pants. No snack, no drink, no nothing, until I get into the comfy clothes.
So imagine my absolute delight when I came across Snugabye’s camp & cabin onesies. A one piece fleecy pyjama? Hello, best most cozy invention ever. I’ll take 7 pairs.
How sweet would it be to snuggle up in one of these over the holidays? If you want to order one (they are on sale right now!), you need to order by December 20th to get it in time. Plus, use promo code ‘COZY’ to get $15 off an adult onesie.
Snugabye has been making comfy and quality sleep/loungewear for kiddos for 60+ years (since 1947!). About time they make something for mama’s and daddios, don’t you think?!
My ‘favourite things’ giveaway closed over the weekend (congrats to our winner, Daniela!), but don’t despair… Camp & Cabin has a contest running right now for a chance at winning 1 of 3 prize packs, which include a camp & cabin onesie of your choice plus a $100 VISA gift card. Sweet, huh?
Alright you guys, it’s the holidays and I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to y’all for popping in here all year, leaving comments, being so encouraging with my Etsy shop this year, keeping up with our renovation, and just being the sweet readers you are. In case you ever wondered, yes I make some money from this blog but it is really pretty minimal – the main reason I do it is because I just love this community of readers and fellow bloggers so much. You guys are the bomb diggity.
So enough of the mushy stuff, I wanted to put together a giveaway as my way of saying thank you and happy holidays! All of the items in this prize pack are from Ontario makers – most of whom I have met on the craft fair circuit. So wanna see what is up for grabs?
Time to get all Price is Right model on you. Picture me sweeping my hand next to these pictures to display the goods and in my fanciest sequin ballgown.
First up is this fun and dainty necklace with a half inch sterling silver disc that has hand cut from recycled silver and stamped with a tiny anchor, matey. Finished off with a brass hammered finish pennant charm. These are set of a beautiful, solid 18 inch sterling silver chain. The length of this chain will allow the pendants to sit about 2 inches below your neckline. Made by the super-popular Salvage Jewelry Co. $60 value.
Gotta have some earrings to go with your necklace. How about these ridiculously gorgeous and understated rose gold Capella earrings (rose gold!! druzy! my faves!!). The posts are gold-plated stainless steel. Made by Daring & Dapper. Value $20.
Next up is something for a sweet little babe in your life. Little Yeti Shoes are lovingly handmade using real leather. The shoes have soft soles, which are gentle on baby’s feet and perfect to toddle around in. Elastic makes the shoes easy to put on and stay on. $30 value.
Sweetest girl ever, Emily, makes the most delicious smelling candles EVER for her Campy line. She’s also the one behind the super sweet Almonte-based shop, Hello Yellow. This “it’s your birthday” soy candle and pack of polyhedra ornaments are up for grabs. Total value $40.
And lastly, I’ve got you covered for some holiday cards for your family and friends. My girl Jessica from Ink Blossom makes these gorgeous cards — that is a drawing that she did herself! So talented, amiright?
6-pack of handmade Christmas cards featuring horse with sleigh bells. Includes 6 hand-illustrated 5″x7″ folding cards on white linen with taupe wood grain textured envelope. Saying inside: “In the air there’s the feeling of Christmas”. Value $24

Are you guys ‘points’ people? You know, have the cards for the different places you shop and earn points that you can redeem for various products? I DEFINITELY am. My mum was always big on points, and we took quite a few family trips thanks to various travel rewards programs.
Dan and I both had travel reward type credit cards when we first met – he was with RBC and I was with another Canadian bank. One of our early Christmases together he brought me down to Florida on RBC points, and after seeing how easy it was to book the exact flight I wanted, it lured me over to RBC. I have since been converted to their visa card program, with it’s excellent rewards system.
Speaking of that Florida trip, here we are back in 2007… before careers, house, baby, and all that. Plus super blonde hair and oversized hoop earrings. They were my jam.
We tend to always save up the points for travel, but when the #RBCRewards101 campaign came out, I headed on over to RBCRewards.com to check it out. I totally hadn’t realized the number of different products you can purchase with points – it’s not just flights and car rentals. You can get gift cards, Best Buy and Future shop products, all kinds of stuff. We love to save ours up for travel though, so what I was even more excited about? The fact that if you shop through RBCRewards.com you can earn WAY more points per purchase — that trip to Mexico (or Italy? Or Turks and Caicos? Ahhh …) will come sooner than we planned! The retailers that have signed up to give you bonus points include the Apple Store, ALDO, Banana Republic, Forever 21, GAP, The Home Depot and Lowe’s (!!), Indigo, Old Navy, Vistaprint, Walmart, and hundreds of others. Seriously how did I not know this?? I am definitely going to be purchasing through the RBC “eMall” from now on when I’m doing online orders.
I’m not quite in the “back to school” rush yet with Maya as she is only 1 year old … but I know a lot of other parents who are doing some big orders right now. This would be a perfect way to get a little extra bang for your buck. Maybe let you go on that March break trip you’re dreaming of? RBC has also created a “Back to School” hub with some videos that you can check out here.
Okay so now for a giveaway. This one is only open to Canadians (sorry non-Canadian readers – another giveaway to come soon..!). The prize? A $25 gift card to either Target, Esso, Indigo, or Best Buy. You’ll rank your preference and they will do their best to get you your top pick. Enter through the rafflecopter widget below.
Finer details: You may enter to win across multiple blogs (that are participating in the RBC Back to School campaign), but can only win on one. You must be 18 and live in Canada (excluding QC). You can expect to receive your prize 4-6 weeks after the contest closes.
Disclosure: I am part of the RBC Rewards Back to School Blogger Campaign with Mom Central Canada and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group. The opinions on this blog are my own.
Are you itching to do a project around the house? Definitely the fastest and easiest way to fix up a space or piece of furniture is to give it a fresh coat of paint. Seriously, works wonders. Sometimes you can get into a bit of a paint paralysis situation where you deliberate and deliberate on what colour to go for – I have been known to do this for sure – but it’s always best to just bite the bullet and go for it. After all, it’s only paint.
The bunkie has been painted (more on that soon!), and my Mum and I also just decided to take on re-doing my room in our cottage as well. So painting that room is up next for us there!
Do you need some paint for your next project? CIL Paints has offered 3 free gallons of paint to one lucky reader! You can find CIL in Canada at The Home Depot, Rona, Walmart, Canadian Tire, and at independent stores across Canada. You can check out their “Stop Paint Paralysis” campaign here – you can sign up to get 20% off your paint purchase!
Here is a gorgeous room for inspiration – the back of the built ins is painted in Peking Blue (56BG 23/355*) by CIL Paint.
Contest open to Canadian residents only. Contest closes on Friday July 25th 2014. Enter using the RaffleCopter widget below.
The geometric of this brass necklace is gorge, right? It reminds me a bit of Navaho rugs. Love!
I am dying over these prints. How sweet would they look in a nursery? The colours of the ‘rise and shine’ one would go in Maya’s room. I think this might have to make it into my shopping cart…
Are you seeing succulents everywhere these days? I definitely am. I love the look and their low maintenance needs (perfect for my I-forget-to-water-all-the-time tendencies). How stunning is this little wood vase for them?
And another necklace that I adore. It’s easy to fall in love with beautiful jewellery on etsy. This one would be great for personalizing with you and your sweetheart’s initials, initials of kiddos. or just other special people in your life!
So are you dying to treat yourself to something off etsy now? Well, enter to win this $50 gift card! Deets are in the rafflecopter box below. Good luck! Contest closes next Thursday night (so I can send the happy news email to the winner on valentine’s day!).
It’s giveaway day! I was recently approached by Erin Wallace, who I actually went to high school with. She’s an Ottawa gal who hand crafts really lovely, delicate jewelry.
Here is a little something about Erin —
Erin is inspired by geometric shapes, sculptural forms, and delicate textures. Fascinated by the push and pull of opposites, she balances masculine and feminine ideals; industrial and organic shapes; and hard and soft textures, while exploring themes of female strength and family treasures. She studied metal jewelry fabrication at the Haliburton School for The Arts, and earned a B.A.H. in Sculpture, Printmaking, and Art History at the University of Guelph. Erin Wallace Jewelry offers handcrafted sterling silver, gold, and bronze jewelry to clients around the world at www.erinwallace.com.
The giveaway today is for the ‘I am’ necklace, valued at $65. The simple design is really gorgeous, right? It would look stunning with just about any outfit. It is made of polished sterling silver and handmade, so each is subtly unique.
Enter to win using Rafflecopter below. Prize will be shipped within Canada or the United States.
Erin also has a line of jewelry with beautiful black lace detail. Follow Erin Wallace and her latest jewelry adventures creating metal art at on facebook, twitter (@EWallaceJewelry) and on her website, www.erinwallace.com.
Target just opened up a few stores in Ottawa (finally!!), and obviously I have already been twice to do some browsing. Between the Nate Berkus stuff, the threshold collection, and the very Canadian “beaver canoe” line – I have a lot of items on my wish list. So when Target got in touch recently about their wedding campaign and catalogue, I was happy to take a look!
Isn’t this tablescape gorge? As soon as I saw it, I thought it would make such a sweet engagement party setup. Simple and low-key, but so pretty. Just the kind of party I would want.
Doesn’t the blue tableware and the white canister with sprigs in it totally make the table? The hubs and I didn’t have a formal engagement party, but this kind of reminds me of the lovely afternoon meals we had in France with Dan’s family shortly after we got engaged. Who doesn’t love to celebrate over wine and cheese? Deeelish.
**This giveaway has now closed. Congratulations to Laura D.!!**
And if you’re digging any of those items yourself, you’re in luck! Up for grabs is a Target $25 GiftCard! Sweet, huh?
In order to enter head on over to the Target Wedding Catalog and then come back here and leave a comment with which product you would use or give as a gift at an engagement party! And if you’re planning a wedding yourself, you should go check out the Target Wedding Registry.
Giveaway closes on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 5pm EST. Open to Canadian and US residents. Winner will be selected at random using random.org.
Content and/or other value provided by our partner, Target.

It’s giveaway time, guys! This time I have partnered up with Stephaine from Baba Souk. Stephanie was a fashion designer for several years for a major Canadian retailer, and is now an indie designer and shop owner!
Baba Souk is a local Canadian shop out of Montreal (perfect timing for our Canada Day long weekend!). Many designs are made right in Montreal, and all of the imported products are great handcrafted finds. Stephanie and her partner visit traditional souks – colorful Moroccan markets filled with colors and gorgeous handmade creations – to hand-pick the best treasures they can find and bring them back for us. They like to encourage great designers from all over the world by showcasing them on their online shop. It is their way of promoting creativity and independent design.
Now let’s check out some of the goods. Here are my absolute faves…
So what can you win? Your favourite item from the roundup I have just done here! Whatever your little heart desires!
*NOTE*: This giveaway prize ships only to Canadian and US addresses.
I’m giving RaffleCopter a try for this giveaway… so you should see a box below with options to enter. If you don’t want to login using your facebook account, you can just give your name and email address. Good luck and Happy Canada Day long weekend!
Blogiversary week wouldn’t be complete without some sort of giveaway right?! Well, you guys are in serious luck. I recently met Christa, owner and designer over at ‘Reminded Designs‘. She hand creates the most beautiful jewellery from her British Columbia home. Her thriving etsy shop sells all kinds of gorgeous, delicate jewellery and she has been kind enough to offer some up for this giveaway.
Christa was the sweetest and even sent me a few pieces from her collection. Green and gold teardrop pendants and a simple matching necklace? So. In. Love.
Even the packaging is adorable!
I was giddy when my little package arrived in the mail and couldn’t wait to throw them on. I took a couple of selfies (man, I am terrible at those… it takes like 7 tries before I even can get my whole head in the frame without my eyes being crossed).
I wore the earrings out the other day (with my hair up to show them off!) and got SO many compliments. Check out the earrings in Christa’s shop here(only $26), and a similar pendant necklace here(only $24).
So what is Christa giving away to two lucky readers?
One reader will get this ‘love’ necklace. Simple, delicate, perfection. I actually own a similar necklace that hubby gave me for valentine’s day and wear it on the regular. It’s ridiculously pretty, right?!
The prize: Necklaces listed above – ‘Love’ to one winner, ‘Bird + Branch’ to the other (randomly selected)
How to enter: Leave a comment on this post telling me your fave piece in Christa’s shop. Are you a pendant necklace kind of gal? Love big earrings like yours truly? Maybe earrings that are a little more restrained?
Bonus entries: Do any of the following things, and leave me a separatecomment for each indicating you have done so:
Giveaway closes: Friday, March 29th at midnight EST (winners will be sent emails to claim prize).
Christa is also offering a discount code for everyone. Just type in “SWEETESTDIGS” upon checkout to get 15% off your order (valid until April 2). With such reasonable prices to begin with, you’d be silly not to indulge in a little something!
So what are you waiting for? Leave a comment! Good luck!
This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to Laurie and Erika on their wins! Enjoy the necklaces, ladies! :)
**Giveaway now closed. Congrats to Michelle (winner selected through random.org)!**
