Looking for a cute craft to do with your kids? We made some paper pinwheels and they were easy, fun and my two kids loved them!
Plus, you probably won’t need to go to the craft store for supplies – you only need 4 basic things. Keep reading for the tutorial.
How to Make Paper Pinwheels:
Supplies:
- Colourful Paper (cut to square size)
- Scissors
- White Glue
- Popsicle Sticks
- Buttons
Paper Pinwheel Instructions:
Step 1:
Take 2 equal sized square papers. Or directly print from the printable to make the pinwheels.
Step 2:
Glue the both papers together one over another. And allow the glue to dry properly.
Step 3:
Place the paper diagonally. Then fold it half horizontally, then open the fold.
Now fold it in half again this time fold it vertically. These folds will help you to make the pinwheel look accurate.
Now make cuts halfway towards the center on all four points, along with creases.
Step 4:
Now take the top points right half cut area and bring it towards the center. Then glue it to the center.
Step 5:
Now similarly move to the second point, and take the right cut area and glue it to the middle.
Step 6:
Similarly glue all 4 right straps to the center. Now you finally get the shape of the pinwheel.
Step 7:
Take a button and glue it on the middle of the pinwheel.
Step 8:
Take a popsicle stick, you can use colorful popsicle sticks as well.
Step 9:
Glue the popsicle stick on the back of the pinwheel.
And that’s it… time to play!
