Make This Adorable Painted Terracotta Pot

Ready to get punny? I’m obsessed with how cute this painted terracotta pot turned out! It was the easiest DIY project and super budget friendly. I’ve included a bunch of other puns you can use so you can make a variety of these (perfect for gifts for friends/family/teachers!).

Supplies for Your Painted Terracotta Pot:

You don’t need much for this cute project!

Terracotta pot – get them at your hardware store or here from Amazon
White paint and a paint brush
Letter stamps and a stamp pad
Potting soil
Aloe plants
Rocks

Gather up all your supplies and start painting to create this cute gift for one of your friends or family members!

Make an “Aloe you very much” Painted Terracotta Pot:

A terracotta pot makes a great planter for your succulents. It already includes a drainage hole at the bottom and the size is perfect for planting a few different small succulents inside. It’s also super easy to paint!

Step 1: Paint White Base

I used white chalk paint to give it a farmhouse look. But any type of paint works well on terracotta. Paint the planter until you’re satisfied with the finish, then allow it to dry completely.

Step 2: Decorate + Stamp

After your paint is dry, it’s time to start decorating. Use letter stamps and a black stamp pad to add your text to the front of the planter. Just press each letter into the stamp pad, then carefully stamp it onto the pot.

If you make a mistake, just paint over the area with some white paint, allow the paint to dry, and re-stamp the letter.

Step 3: Add Plants

Give your ink time to dry, then plant your succulents in the pot. Start by adding some potting soil to the bottom of the pot, then place the succulents in the soil. Fill in any areas that need extra soil, then add a few rocks on top to improve drainage and dress up the gift.
