Chai Latte Ingredients:
- 3 teaspoons cardamom
- 2 teaspoons allspice
- 1.5 teaspoons ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Fresh vanilla beans from half of a pod*
- 2 tablespoons warm water
- 1 cup of warm milk
Make the Vanilla Chai Latte Recipe:
Step 1: Make the Chai Latte Mix
Mix together:
- 3 teaspoons cardamom
- 2 teaspoons allspice
- 1.5 teaspoons ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Fresh vanilla beans from half of a pod*
*If you do not have vanilla pods you can: Add 1/8th of a teaspoon of pure vanilla extract to each chai latte you make
Stir all of the spices and vanilla beans together. This will keep for about a month if stored in an airtight jar (in or out of the fridge).
Step 2: Blend the chai latte
Add 2 tablespoons of warm water and 1 tablespoon of the spice mix to a blender. Pour in 1 cup of warm milk and mix or blend until smooth and creamy.
Step 3: Adjust the Latte to Taste (spicy or sweet!)
If you want to sweeten your latte a bit, add a bit of sugar or honey to your preference.
And once you’ve made one of these chai lattes, you can play around with the spice combination. Want more kick? Add up to 3 teaspoons of ground ginger for some extra spice.
It’s that simple!
Wanna amp up the fancy factor?
Throw some whipped cream on and sprinkle cinnamon on top.
