Life has been a blur of travel and kid wrangling lately. It’s been quiet here on the blog because we did another family trip – this time to PEI.
It was all kinds of beautiful there. The first time we had been, and we will DEFINITELY go back. It’s such a lovely part of Canada.
We did Anne of Green Gables, checked out Cavendish and Greenwich, played at beaches, went to a musical in Charlottetown and a drive-in movie (one of the many benefits of travelling with grandparents = babysitters!), lunched in so many sweet little towns by the water, and loved every moment.
Plus, the weather was seriously spectacular.
Since we have been home, I have had both Maya and James home with me full-time until kindergarten and preschool start up in September. I have a zillion blog/work related things I’d love to get done, but instead I’m just focusing on the kiddos and squeezing out as much of summer as I can. We have been doing the beach, splash pads, playgroups, cottage…. mama is tiring them out! ;)
Next week will be a big one here – with Maya going off for her first day of kindergarten. Wish me luck! I’ll be the mum bawling her eyes out behind her sunglasses….
Alright… it’s Sunday evening, so you know what that means – The Creative Gallery!

Me at The Sweetest Digs!
Here’s the latest from The Sweetest Digs this week:
I finally got the walls and trim painted in our master bathroom. The progress in there is slow, but steady! Check out how I did it — I’ve finished literally hundreds of feet of trim now, so I’ve got it down.
The room has come a long way from this shot a few weeks ago!
And now for some of my faves from last week’s Creative Gallery Link Up:
I adore this DIY circle art from Maritza Lisa. She used her Silhouette to do this, but you could also just cut the circles out by hand if you didn’t have the machine available. How great do they look on that pink backdrop? Love.
Remember how I did those faux floating shelves above the toilet in our kids bathroom a few months ago?
Well, Lindi from Love Create Celebrate did the real deal. True DIY floating wood shelves, and I think they look fab! It’s funny to look through her bathroom, as our rooms seem to have a very similar layout. You should see how gorgeous the vanity area is in hers – click over and have a browse!
Now let’s get to your projects!
