We are officially on holiday for the whole month of August, which is hopefully going to become an annual tradition. We love the idea of getting a big chunk of time like that all together, with no work or commitments.
We spent the first week in the Adirondacks – upstate New York. We are members of a club there (where my in-laws have a cottage) and it is so private, off-the-grid, and just perfect for unplugging and getting outside.
Between swimming, walks in the woods, spending time with family, and eating great food, it feels so good to re-charge, especially with September right around the corner. It’s hard to believe that my sweet baby girl will be starting Kindergarten this year.
Make sure you stay up to date with me over on my Facebook Page, which is where I pop in more regularly to share life pics and updates!
Alright… it’s Sunday evening, so you know what that means – The Creative Gallery!
If you’re new to The Creative Gallery, it’s an amazing weekly event where bloggers and readers can share their latest projects. You’ll find a crazy amount of DIY projects, recipes and other inspirational posts to browse if you continue scrolling down to the bottom of this post!

Me at The Sweetest Digs!
Here’s the latest from The Sweetest Digs this week:
I gave you guys a sneak peak on the master bathroom progress. We have laid the floor tiles and they are looking amazing. Stay tuned for the vanity install – we completed it just the other day and I can’t wait to show you how it’s looking!
And now for some of my faves from last week’s Creative Gallery Link Up:
I am OBSESSED with this custom hood range Ashlea at This Mama’s Dance installed above her new stove. I hope she keeps the wood rustic like this – I think it looks amazing with the shiplap walls, don’t you?
If you have any wicker baskets hanging around the house, give them a two-toned Scandinavian look by dipping them in some white paint. Get the whole tutorial over on Yellow Rose Life.
Now let’s get to your projects!
