How to Make a Floral Hoop Wreath:
Step 1: After gathering your supplies, it’s time to get crafting! Start by preparing your florals to be added to the wreath. When picking the best floral elements for your wreath, you’ll need to look for a few characteristics:
- Size. Make sure the branches and flowers are the correct size for your hoop – here’s where to buy your hoop. Branches that are too large will overwhelm the wreath form. But if your flowers and branches are too small, they’ll look out of place on the large hoop. That’s why it’s a good idea to measure your branches on the wreath before you decide which ones you’ll use. Buy your eucalyptus branches here.
- Flexibility. Another must when picking the best floral elements for your wreath is flexibility. You need your branches to bend along with the curve of the wreath form, otherwise, they’ll stick out and look out of place.
Step 2: Once you’ve found the right branches for your wreath, cut two branches from the larger stem and place them on top of the wreath form so that the bottom of each branch is touching at the center of the form. Use your floral wire to secure the bottom of each branch to the metal form.
Step 3: Then, bend the branch to curve in the same direction as the wreath form. Use a small piece of floral wire to secure the branch to the form near the top of the branch. Make sure to place your wire under a leaf to hide it from view.
Step 4: After securing the branches in place, you can attach your flowers. Buy your faux peonies here. Pull the bud from the top of the stem and stick the end of the stem in between the branch and the hoop. Position the flower how you would like it, then use your hot glue gun to place glue all around the bottom of the flower and the wreath form to secure the flower in place. Repeat the process until all your flowers have been added to the wreath.
Step 5: Allow the glue to dry completely, then hang your wreath in your home to display it this spring.
